JSC “Kelių priežiūra” approach to sustainability is based on the "One kilometre ahead" philosophy. This means that every day we work to face the nature - snow, storms, ice and other obstacles.
The company's approach to sustainability combines values, activities, strategic directions and sustainability principles that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. Sustainable corporate governance is an integral an integral part of the company's long-term strategy, implemented through the areas of economic impact, social responsibility and environmental protection.
The company has a strong track record and commitment to customers, society, shareholders and employees. Understanding the expectations of customers and society, the direct impact ofJSC “Kelių priežiūra” activities on the quality of travel/mobility of the public and our responsibility, we aim to find sustainable solutions in the company's activities, combining environmental, social and economic aspects.
JSC “Kelių priežiūra” is guided by the following principles of responsible operation:
- Transparency - we base our activities on responsibility and zero tolerance for corruption;
- Respect - attention to the human and labour rights of employees;
- Social responsibility is the application of measures that create lasting value within a company and for society;
- Environmental Impact Reduction - introducing preventive measures to save the environment and ensuring their impact;
- Fair Accountability - voluntary disclosure of the company's performance to the public and stakeholders.
The company bases its activities on the principles of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and best practices in sustainable development and sustainability and social responsibility. The company also follows established management systems in accordance with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management).
From 2021, JSC “Kelių priežiūra” sustainability/social responsibility reporting will follow the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. The report is part of the company's annual report..
The company has started to prepare for the requirements and disclosures of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) provisions and guidelines. A Double Materiality analysis was carried out at the end of 2023 in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) of the CSDR. The purpose of this assessment is to identify material (key) environmental, social and governance issues that will form the basis for the preparation of the company's Sustainability Report in the coming years and for the further development of its sustainability activities.
